Medicare: Support When You Need It

Remember to hope for the best, but plan for the worst. No one wants to think about being disabled, and most of us don’t want to think about what we’ll need when we grow old, but knowing that Medicare is there for life’s emergency can be a real beacon of hope as you deal with the unexpected.

Medicare is available for anyone over 65, and for people with disabilities. Medicare Part A covers many hospital bills, while you can elect to purchase Medicare Part B for additional health and preventive care.

If you are younger and have been disabled for two or more years, you can also qualify for some Medicare benefits. It’s one less thing to worry about as you cope with long-term disability.

Even if you are in good health, you may have a relative, or other loved one who needs, or will need, some of the benefits of health care support. Encourage them to go to the Medicare website and find out more.
